Senior Software Engineer – AI & Automation

Seattle, Washington (Hybrid-Very Flexible)

Long term Contract

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and development of AI-driven and automation-focused solutions. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, focusing on building scalable applications, integrating AI services, and leveraging low-code platforms to improve business processes.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy full-stack applications and APIs
Build and integrate AI/ML solutions (LLMs, cognitive services, etc.)
Develop automation workflows using tools like Microsoft Power Platform
Lead technical direction for a team of engineers and ensure high-quality delivery
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities
Drive best practices in software engineering (TDD, CI/CD, code reviews)
Contribute to AI and automation strategy across teams

Required Qualifications

7+ years of software engineering experience
Strong full-stack development experience (C#, Java, or similar)
Experience building scalable, distributed systems in the cloud
Hands-on experience with AI/ML or LLM integrations
Experience with workflow automation or low-code platforms (Power Platform preferred)
Proven ability to lead technical delivery and mentor engineers

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft stack (.NET, Azure, SQL Server)
Experience with Angular or modern frontend frameworks
Familiarity with containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of AI/ML platforms (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, etc.)
