About the Role:
As an Activities Scheduling Coordinator at Marymoor Park, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for athletic field and facility reservations, helping leagues, community organizations, and park visitors access recreation spaces. This role combines customer service, scheduling, problem solving, and operational coordination to ensure facilities are reserved efficiently and visitors receive exceptional service.

Located in the heart of King County, Marymoor Park is one of the region’s most popular destinations, welcoming millions of visitors each year. The park provides a wide range of recreational opportunities, including athletic fields, special events, community activities, and facility rentals.
The Recreation, Partnerships, and Property Management Section manage facility reservations, recreation opportunities, partnerships, and visitor services throughout King County Parks. At Marymoor Park, you'll work with a collaborative team dedicated to providing outstanding customer service while supporting one of the busiest and most diverse park destinations in the region.

Qualifications You Bring:

Experience coordinating athletic, recreation, facility event or similar scheduling activities using ActiveNet or comparable reservation or scheduling system.

Demonstrated customer service experience with the ability to build positive relationships and effectively interact with diverse customers, community members, and partners.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, deadlines, and competing priorities.

Experience performing administrative support functions such as processing payments, preparing agreements or documentation, maintaining records, and coordinating information.

Experience using Microsoft 365 applications and other technology systems to support administrative, scheduling, customer account, or operational functions.

Ability to apply equity and social justice concepts and principles to work activities and decision making.

Working Conditions:

Work Location: The team works in a hybrid model, with days in the office as well as telecommuting. The ratio of remote to onsite work will be dependent on business needs and is subject to change. Tuesdays are required days in office. Some evenings and weekends may be needed to support park activities. The primary onsite location is Marymoor Park, 6046 West Lake Sammamish Pkwy NE, Redmond, WA 98052.
Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will join an innovative and progressive team that is redefining how we work as we transition to the department's hybrid environment. Employees will be provided with a County-issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.

Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week. This position is not exempt from the overtime provision of the Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.
