Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage accurate financial record-keeping, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support the organization’s financial health. Your expertise in various accounting software and strong understanding of financial concepts will help us maintain precise records, reconcile accounts, and prepare essential financial reports. Responsibilities

Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
Prepare journal entries, including debits & credits, to record financial activities in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to verify account balances.
Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings to ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
Support budgeting processes by analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management review.
Collaborate on financial report writing, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements for internal and external stakeholders.
Handle complex account analysis tasks, including double entry bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation.
Contribute to internal audits by providing detailed documentation of financial transactions and supporting schedules.

Requirements

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks platform.
Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting standards, and non-profit accounting practices.
Familiarity with GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping and journal entries.
Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
Ability to perform accounts payable/receivable processing along with payroll management.
Excellent understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, account analysis, budgeting, and financial report writing.
Proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy and efficiency.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate records.
Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and support audit processes.
