Full Job Description

Company Description: Haeger Orthodontics is a fast-growing, premier, multilocation orthodontics practice, well known for providing exceptional orthodontic care and a premium patient experience. Founded in 1990 and led by Dr. Robert Haeger, the office has established itself as the leading ortho provider for the Kent and Maple Valley regions through a laser focus on individualized care and elite outcomes, achieved as fast as possible and looking exactly as patients dream of. Now a team of over 15 people, Haeger Orthodontics is continuing to grow through an especially analytical approach and a technological push to modernize oral care.

Role Description: The Practice Manager (PM) will manage a wide variety of operations projects and oversee daily office activities, spanning performance analytics, marketing, finance, patient care, and hiring. The PM will also be involved in managing the staff. This is not a standard role, either within or outside the oral care industry. Accordingly, prior experience in any form of dentistry is not expected or necessary. Instead, you could have anything from an engineering to a business to a writing background. What’s more important is that you have experience managing people, can demonstrate that you’ve previously managed projects from initiation to completion, and are extremely organized. The PM will be an extension of Dr. Haeger, effectively parts chief of staff, operations director, office manager, project manager, and people leader.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the business’ performance across a set of non-clinical KPIs, which includes generating performance reports, analyzing the data, and leading projects to improve production and profitability
Work closely with a partner company to oversee all goals, employee management, and practice growth
Work with a marketing consultant and internal team to implement an annual marketing plan that builds brand awareness and expands the business through a variety of channels (web, social media, patient referrals, dentist referrals, etc.), then analyze the effectiveness of each campaign and evaluate ROI
Effectively manage and build team chemistry within the front office team (which handles non-clinical aspects of the business, including patient management and scheduling, treatment coordination, marketing, and finance)
Manage office operating protocols and standards
Supervise certain financial aspects of the business handled by the financial coordinators, including patient contracts, insurance processing, payment delinquencies, and accounts receivable
Coordinate vendor relationships and ordering, ranging from orthodontic supplies purchasing to obtaining and managing tech systems and software from our IT support company

Qualifications and Skills:

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
General understanding of business, operations, efficiency, and profitability
5+ years of experience managing 5+ people simultaneously
Demonstrated career progression in prior roles at the same company
Demonstrated project management background, from initiation of projects to measured outcomes
