Inpatient & Oncology Pharmacist (Contract)

Location: Seattle, WA (Two convenient locations)
Duration: 12-Week Contract
Schedule: Variable Shifts (Mostly Days/Evenings); 24/7/365 Operation
Guaranteed Work Week (GWW): 40 Hours
Compensation: $75.00 – $85.00+ per hour (Dependent on Experience)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Pharmacist to join our clinical team in Seattle for a 12-week contract assignment. This role is pivotal in supporting our inpatient pharmacy operations and specialty oncology infusion services, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and pharmaceutical care.

You will have the opportunity to work at one or both of our premier Seattle-area locations, supporting a dynamic 24/7 clinical environment that includes inpatient care, an active infusion center, and limited after-hours outpatient dispensing.

Core Responsibilities

As a key member of the inpatient pharmacy team, your primary focus will be on comprehensive distribution functions, emergency response, and clinical oversight:

Clinical Verification: Perform accurate order verification using Epic and conduct final product verification checks for inpatient, specialty, and oncology medications.
Emergency Response: Actively participate in Code Blue and other emergency response protocols.
Expert Consultation: Serve as a primary resource for answering complex clinical questions and providing evidence-based drug information to the multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
Technical Oversight: Supervise pharmacy technician workflows to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and strict adherence to safety protocols.
Multi-Unit Support: Provide pharmaceutical support for our Specialty/Oncology Infusion Center and manage limited-formulary, after-hours outpatient dispensing.

Requirements

Experience: 3 years of oncology pharmacist experience is required, inpatient experience is preferred but not required.
Licensure: Active Washington State Pharmacist License in good standing.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Epic (Willow) and Pyxis dispensing systems.
Compliance: A strong understanding of USP <797> and USP <800> standards for sterile and hazardous compounding.
