Seasonal Tax Preparer

Location: Bothell, WA
Job Type: Seasonal (with the opportunity to become a returning permanent seasonal employee)

Join Our Team at Adept Tax Services

Adept Tax Services is seeking an experienced Seasonal Tax Preparer to join our team for the upcoming tax season. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys preparing individual tax returns, interviewing clients, and providing exceptional customer service in a supportive, professional environment.

The Role:

- Conduct client interviews to gather tax information and identify tax-saving opportunities.

- Prepare accurate individual federal and state income tax returns, ensuring compliance with the current laws and regulations.

- Review client documentation and request any missing information.

- Collaborate with clients to clarify questions, address concerns, and provide guidance on tax-related matters.

- Maintain detailed and accurate client records.

- Work collaboratively with our team to provide an outstanding client experience.

-Stay current with tax law changes and filing requirements.

-Ensure timely filing of returns and proactively manage deadlines.

Qualifications:

Required:

- 3-5+ years previous experience preparing individual income tax returns in a professional tax office.

- Experience interviewing clients and gathering tax information.

- Strong knowledge of federal individual income tax preparation.

- A client-focused mindset with a commitment to providing superior service.

- High attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Experience using professional tax preparation software.

- Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred:

- Experience with business tax returns is a plus but not required.

- PTIN (or ability to obtain one before the tax season).
