Full Job Description

Overview: Under limited supervision, the Whiteman Air Force Base (WAFB) Administrative Assistant (Admin Asst) is responsible for the front-line duties of the WAFB Campus, including, but not limited to, clerical, data maintenance, greeting guests/students, answering questions, monitoring all communications, calling campaigns and marketing. Additionally, the Admin Asst aids students in all aspects regarding enrolling students for courses.

Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills:

Serves as the front-line customer relationship specialist, to include managing student walk-ins and answering any questions regarding SFCC activities.

Assist students by navigating through the admissions and enrollment processes.

Conduct calling campaigns, promotional and marketing events.

Overseas administrative processes, including enrollment, data collection, financial aid, IT requests, budgetary requisitions, records and filing.

May require occasional evenings or weekends work time.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

Seeking an Associate’s degree. This position is a part of the Federal work-study program, to qualify you must be a State Fair Community College student enrolled in the current semester and eligible for Financial Aid thorough the Federal Work-study program.

Ability to effectively communicate in person and through written correspondence.

Must be a team player/individual contributor with the mind set to operate effectively in an ever-changing environment.

Ability to adapt quickly to changes in student needs, work assignment, and organizational structure.

Ability to handle confidential matters judiciously.

Ability to plan, organize and implement job responsibilities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in administrative support or office management.

Promoting/Marketing WAFB Campus at events.
