Full Job Description

SEC specializes in subdivision development, road design, water distribution/treatment design, sewer collection/treatment design, drainage studies, flood studies, structural engineering and land planning.

You will work with and be mentored by the senior technical staff. Our ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, be highly organized, and capable of working in a diverse team environment and handling multiple tasks with competing priorities.

Duties will include:

Conduct technical evaluations to support engineering design
Support field testing and field inspections/visits when required
Assisting in the development and preparation of technical documents including technical memoranda, reports, engineering plans and drawings, specifications, and miscellaneous contract documents
Assist with permitting and compliance
Assist with submittal reviews, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, and change orders for construction projects
Coordinate work with others on projects; ensure proper and timely execution on projects.
Successfully manage and deliver assignments on time and on budget
Adhere to QA/QC process
Work exposure to include subdivision development, grading, drainage, road work, water system design, sewer system design, traffic analysis, flood studies etc.

Desired Skills and Experience:

BS Degree in Engineering (Civil or Environmental) or related field required
Candidates should either have an E.I.T or be willing to obtain an EIT in the short term with eventually obtaining PE licensure in the State of Arizona
Ability to use AutoCAD/Civil 3D
Ability to use or effectively learn other modeling software
Engineering Internship or experience in the waster/wastewater consulting field is a plus
Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextually essential
Candidate will have strong verbal/written communication skills and ability to work well independently and in team environments
Candidate should be versatile and interested in working on a variety of project supporting engineering services
Candidate should be a self-starter, results-oriented, and be able to work under tight deadlines
E.I.T preferred
