Overview

Skyline Roofing & Construction | Bellingham, WA

Skyline Roofing & Construction is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist to join our growing team.

We are a locally established roofing company with a strong reputation, a great company culture, and a team that takes pride in doing quality work. We are looking for someone who enjoys being an important part of a growing business and can help keep our financial and administrative operations organized and running smoothly.

This is primarily an in-office position, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time once established in the position.

Position Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Monitoring customer payments and maintaining accurate accounts receivable records.
Entering, reviewing, and paying vendor invoices.
Tracking job costs and helping maintain accurate job profitability information
Processing and maintaining payroll records.
Working with company management to provide accurate financial and job-cost information.
Using our CRM to review and maintain customer and project information
Conduct account reconciliation and general ledger accounting to maintain precise financial records.
Support tax preparation efforts by organizing financial data and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
Utilize spreadsheets extensively for data analysis, tracking expenses, and preparing reports that support decision-making.

Experience

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles.
Experience using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of how to use a CRM for project management
Experience with job costing is preferred, particularly in construction or a similar industry
Innate ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
A high level of professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality
Familiarity with payroll processing procedures and tax regulations related to payroll management.
