Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), where you will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective anesthesia care across diverse patient populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your advanced clinical skills in perioperative settings, including operating rooms, pre-op, and recovery areas at an ambulatory surgery center. As a CRNA, you will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise in anesthesia administration and patient monitoring will be essential in providing compassionate care while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Duties

Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia for surgical procedures. Specialties include: spine, orthopedics, general, pain management, plastics/cosmetic, hand, podiatry, ocular plastics, vascular
Conduct comprehensive preoperative patient assessments to determine appropriate anesthesia plans tailored to individual needs
Monitor vital signs and physiological parameters continuously during procedures to ensure patient stability and safety
Manage airway maintenance and ventilation support during anesthesia administration, including airway management techniques and emergency interventions
Respond swiftly to cardiovascular emergencies such as cardiac arrest or respiratory distress with advanced resuscitation skills
Operate medical equipment including anesthesia machines, monitors, and infusion pumps
Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, nursing policies, state nursing practice acts, and infection prevention standards throughout all patient care activities

Experience

Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
Active RN and APRN licensure in the State of Florida.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain).
Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.

Preferred

Experience in ambulatory surgery, orthopedic, spine, general, pain management, or multi-specialty outpatient settings.
Proficiency with regional anesthesia techniques.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
Active RN and APRN licensure in the State of Florida.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain).
Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.

Schedule

PRN Monday - Saturday typically 6:30AM to midafternoon - can go later depending on cases and schedule.
