Full Job Description

Position Summary

The HR Administrator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day administrative functions of the Human Resources department. This role will manage the onboarding and offboarding process from start to finish, ensure all employee documentation is completed and properly maintained within the HRIS system, and provide administrative support for various HR functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information professionally.

Pay: $21-$24 hourly

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Onboarding & New Hire Administration

Manage the full onboarding process from start to finish for all new hires
Coordinate and track pre-employment requirements including background checks, drug screens, MVRs, and onboarding documentation
Ensure all onboarding paperwork is completed accurately and prior to employee start dates
Enter and maintain employee information within the HRIS system
Assist employees with onboarding questions and system access
Coordinate new hire orientation and communication with managers

Employee Records & HRIS Management

Maintain accurate and organized employee personnel files, both electronic and physical
Ensure all employee documentation is properly uploaded and filed within the HRIS system
Process employee status changes including promotions, transfers, pay changes, and departmental changes
Conduct regular audits of employee files and HRIS records for accuracy and compliance
Maintain confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information

Offboarding & Terminations

Manage termination paperwork and offboarding processes
Ensure all required separation documentation is completed and filed appropriately
Coordinate final paperwork and system updates for terminated employees
Maintain accurate records related to employee separations

General HR Support

Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed
Respond to employee questions regarding HR processes and paperwork
Support various HR projects and department initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Previous administrative or office support experience preferred
Experience with HRIS systems preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer systems

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
Occasionally lift and carry files or office materials up to 25 pounds
Ability to travel occasionally to company locations if needed

This position operates in an office environment with regular interaction with employees, managers, and company leadership. This position will be allowed one work from home day per week after successful completion of 90 days.
