Full Job Description

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our company, providing administrative support and managing the front desk operations. Dental Office Expierience is a MUST!

**Duties:**

-Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner and provide excellent customer service.

-Answer and manage incoming phone calls, messages, and voicemails promptly.

-Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments.

-Maintain an accurate and organized appointment schedule.

-Verify patient demographics, contact information, and medical history.

-Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.

-Call insurance companies to obtain or clarify benefits, coverage, limitations, deductibles, waiting periods, frequencies, and other insurance information.

-Obtain and document accurate insurance information in the patient's chart.

-Assist patients with questions regarding insurance coverage and estimated patient portions.

-Collect copayments, deductibles, balances, and other patient payments.

-Process CareCredit or other approved payment methods when applicable.

-Obtain required medical history and medication information from patients.

Contact patients regarding medication information or updates when necessary.

-When requested by the clinical team, assist with obtaining medication information or contacting a patient's pharmacy/medical provider for clarification or required information.

-Assist with medical and dental records, referrals, and documentation.

-Send and receive dental records, referrals, and insurance information as needed.

-Monitor and respond to patient messages in a timely manner.

-Check voicemails and return calls promptly.

-Help maintain accurate patient charts and documentation.

Assist with insurance claims, pre-authorizations, and supporting documentation as assigned.

-Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.

-Keep the reception area clean, organized, and professional.

-Communicate effectively with dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and other team members.

-Follow all office policies and procedures.

-Perform other front-office duties as assigned by the Office Manager or dentist.
