Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. This vital role offers the opportunity to manage comprehensive accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial activities. As a key contributor, you will oversee the full spectrum of bookkeeping responsibilities, from transaction entry to financial reporting, supporting the organization’s financial health and integrity. The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, and possesses a strong foundation in accounting principles, software proficiency, and data analysis. Duties

Manage the complete accounting cycle including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and record journal entries with accuracy, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal controls such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act).
Reconcile balance sheets and perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or anomalies promptly.
Utilize various financial software systems including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Paychex, PeopleSoft, and other accounting systems to process transactions efficiently.
Conduct monthly closing procedures and generate detailed financial reports for management review.
Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining meticulous data entry standards using tools like Excel spreadsheets and 10-key typing.
Support budgeting processes and perform financial data analysis to assist in strategic planning.
Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and internal policies through diligent record-keeping and audit preparation.

Skills

Extensive experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Workday, Ceridian, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Paychex; familiarity with integrating multiple systems is a plus.
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), governmental accounting practices, and technical accounting concepts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel data analysis and spreadsheet management.
Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements for internal controls and audit readiness.
Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits management.
Excellent numeracy skills coupled with attention to detail for accurate data entry and account analysis.
Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments is highly desirable.
Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams while handling sensitive information discreetly.
