Press Brake Operator / Machine Operator – Precision Sheet Metal Manufacturing
Location: St. Petersburg, FL
Pay: $20–$25/hour (based on experience)

Our client is an established precision sheet metal manufacturer that has successfully operated in Canada for many years and is expanding its U.S. manufacturing operations with a new facility in St. Petersburg, Florida.

We're seeking dependable, mechanically inclined individuals with manufacturing experience who are eager to learn and grow. Candidates with press brake experience are preferred, but we also welcome applicants with experience operating other manufacturing or fabrication equipment.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate press brake equipment to manufacture precision sheet metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.
- Install and change tooling, dies, and fixtures.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain quality and production standards.
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and make routine machine adjustments.
- Record production, quality, and downtime information.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and work collaboratively with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is reliable, mechanically inclined, and enjoys working in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of manufacturing or machine operation experience
- Experience operating one or more of the following:
- Press Brake
- Brake Press
- Punch Press
- Stamping Press
- Roll Forming Equipment
- CNC Manufacturing Equipment
- Other Sheet Metal Fabrication Equipment
- Ability to read blueprints or production drawings
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime when needed
Preferred but Not Required
- Forklift certification or experience
- Overhead crane experience
- Experience with machine setup or tooling changes
- Preventive maintenance experience
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk throughout the work shift
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Bend, reach, push, and pull materials as needed
- Work safely around manufacturing equipment
- Wear required PPE, including steel-toed boots, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection
