About Us

We are TrueScan, Tampa Bay's premier early detection imaging center, specializing in full-body MRI and cardiac CT angiography (CCTA) for proactive health screening. We help patients detect life-threatening conditions – cancers, aneurysms, and cardiac disease – before symptoms appear.

Position Overview

We're seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to support our expanding imaging program. You'll be responsible for patient positioning, image acquisition, protocol optimization, and image quality during cardiac (echocardiography) and general sonography studies.

Minimum Requirements

ARDMS or CCI certification in Adult Echocardiography — RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) — and/or Sonography (RDMS)
RVT/RVS (Vascular) credential preferred
ARDMS Breast Credential preferred
CAAHEP-accredited sonography program graduate
Minimum 2 years ultrasound imaging experience (required); cardiac/echocardiography experience strongly preferred
Current BLS certification
Experience with 2D, Doppler, and color flow imaging protocols preferred
Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and Doppler physics

Responsibilities

Perform patient screenings and confirm study appropriateness prior to imaging
Position patients and operate ultrasound equipment to acquire high-quality cardiac and general sonography images
Select and optimize scan protocols, including 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color flow techniques
Accurately measure and document cardiac structures, function, and hemodynamic parameters
Recognize and flag abnormal findings for physician review
Monitor patients throughout the procedure and respond appropriately to any adverse events
Document procedures accurately and maintain patient records
Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols
Perform quality control checks on ultrasound equipment as required
