Tax Manager | $140,000 - $160,000 | Hybrid | Tampa, FL

This isn't just another Tax Manager role. It's an opportunity to help build a modern, growing tax advisory practice backed by one of the world's leading M&A firms.

The Opportunity

Benchmark International Tax Services is a rapidly growing tax advisory firm serving entrepreneurs, closely held businesses, real estate investors, and high-net-worth individuals. Unlike traditional firms where the focus is on surviving tax season, our year-round advisory model allows our professionals to build meaningful client relationships, provide strategic guidance throughout the year, and focus on delivering real value rather than simply meeting filing deadlines.

As our Tax Manager, you'll manage an established portfolio of clients while leading a small team of Tax Associates. You'll be trusted to deliver high-quality tax advice, mentor your team, improve processes, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than technical tax work. You'll influence how the practice evolves, work alongside experienced leadership, and help build a firm designed around long-term client partnerships and career development.

What You'll Be Doing

Manage a portfolio of business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and real estate investor clients.
Act as the primary advisor for your clients.
Deliver proactive tax planning, compliance, and advisory services throughout the year.
Review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
Identify tax-saving opportunities and strategic planning solutions.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately five Tax Associates.
Manage workflow, quality control, client deadlines, and team performance.
Support client onboarding and help prospective clients understand our services.
Support business development by leading prospective client meetings, building trusted relationships, and identifying opportunities to win new business and expand the firm's client base.
Stay up to date with tax legislation and industry developments.
Help drive operational improvements, technology adoption, and continuous process enhancements.

What We're Looking For

Active CPA, EA, or JD credential.
5+ years' experience in public accounting or tax advisory.
Experience preparing and reviewing individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
Previous team leadership, supervision, or mentoring experience.
Strong relationship management and communication skills.
Excellent organization, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience working with business owners, real estate investors, and high-net-worth individuals is highly desirable.
Business development or client onboarding experience is a plus.
