This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours will fluctuate based on workload and client schedule. With potential to work Saturday.
The LBS/BC-ABA reports directly to the Clinical Director of ABA Services.
Summary/Objective
The LBS/BC-ABA provides clinical leadership and oversight for individualized ABA services supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental needs. In this role, you will develop, supervise, and monitor comprehensive and focused behavioral intervention programs designed to strengthen communication, social interaction, adaptive living, self-regulation, tolerance, and motor skills while reducing behaviors that interfere with learning and independence.
You will collaborate closely with clients, families, and members of the treatment team to ensure services are effective, compassionate, and tailored to each child’s unique needs. The LBS/BC-ABA is also responsible for supervising ABA service delivery, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, communicating clearly with clinical providers on staff, and meeting weekly billable service expectations established by the Clinical Director of ABA Services.
Essential Job Duties:
● Provide supervision to behavior technicians/RBTs. Supervision includes observing, modeling, coaching, taking data, providing feedback and making recommendations in accordance with the BACB guidelines
● Work collaboratively with building staff to promote positive client behavior by providing professional development that targets research, strategies and modeling of instructional practices to support staff in their implementation of positive support.
● Conduct competencies on each behavior technician/RBT within the first 30 days of working with the client and monthly thereafter.
● Conduct regular parent training sessions with parents/caregivers/guardians on specific goals and taking appropriate data
● Engage parents in the process of participating in creating behavior programs for clients in order to empower parents by providing them with skills and techniques to support the positive behavior development of their child.
● Develop materials and provide resources for and provide professional development to administrators, educators, paraprofessionals and parents/guardians.
● Attend IEP, eligibility, or other meetings as necessary and provide related behavioral information.
● Conduct assessments and reassessments including skills assessments and FBA in accordance with insurance policies and regulations
● Conducts functional behavior assessments, accurately identifying the function of challenging behavior and socially valid, pivotal behaviors to target.
● Develops treatment plans that recommend individualized, evidence-based behavioral strategies in a format accessible to staff, family members, other professionals.
● Conduct treatment planning sessions to monitor progress, analyze data, research evidence-based procedures and other appropriate activities
● Coordinate care with primary care physicians, other professionals at least one time per authorization
● Uphold the company mission and core values at all times
● Provide treatment that is in accordance with BACB’s guidelines, policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines set forth by Heart & Soul ABA PLLC
● Maintain a professional relationship with clients and providers
● Attend and participate in meetings and professional development activities specified by Heart & Soul ABA PLLC
● Complete session notes in accordance with insurance guidelines
● Submit all paperwork by deadlines as specified by Heart & Soul ABA PLLC
● Manage own schedule and caseload
● Maintain the confidentiality of information including client records (HIPAA laws), personnel information and other relevant issues
● Communication regularly with Clinical Director regarding client’s progress, provider progress, and pertinent issues
● Perform other duties as requested.
Additional Job Duties:
· Experience with implementing functional behavior assessments with children with autism.
· Strong clinical background in administering verbal behavior assessments.
· Conducting language, play, and skill-based assessments.
· Designing, implementing, and/or training others using individualized language, play, and skill-based curricula.
· Supervising in-home 1:1 programs for individuals with autism.
· Collecting, graphing, analyzing, displaying and discussing data based progress.
· Knowledge of the principles and practice of Applied Behavior Analysis which includes:
- General behavioral assessment.
- Strong Ethical Standards.
· Knowledge of the behavioral impact of developmental disabilities, as well as the cognitive, educational, vocational and social challenges encountered by persons with developmental disabilities.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks/goals for self and others.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels.
· Effective and creative negotiator and problem solver.
· A valid driver’s license and the willingness to commute to multiple locations
· Dependable method of transportation
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates providing Assistant Behavior Consultation–ABA services must meet at least one of the following qualification pathways:
1.) Hold a current Pennsylvania license as one of the following:
- Psychologist
- Professional Counselor
- Marriage and Family Therapist
- Clinical Social Worker
- Social Worker
- Behavior Specialist
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
- Another professional whose scope of practice includes overseeing the provision of ABA services
2.) Along with one of the above qualifications, you must also one of the following:
- Hold a qualifying a BCaBA certification or another undergraduate-level certification in behavior analysis accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
- At least one year of full-time experience providing ABA services; and at least 12 college-level credits in ABA from an appropriately accredited college or university. Foreign education must be evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
- At least one year of full-time experience providing ABA services under the supervision of a BCBA or another professional holding an accredited graduate-level certification in behavior analysis; and at least 40 hours of ABA-related training approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services or provided by a continuing education provider approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
3.) Must also hold a current Pennsylvania license as a psychologist and have both:
- At least one year of full-time experience providing ABA services
- At least 40 hours of ABA-related training approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services or provided by a continuing education provider approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

Required Education and Experience:
- Masters degree and educational coursework completed in the areas of marriage and family therapy, child development, special education, psychology, or related field.
