Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will provide direct patient care, assist with daily activities, and support clinical staff to ensure the highest standards of safety and comfort. Duties

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using appropriate patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts.
Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate medical documentation within EMR/EHR systems.
Support patient safety by practicing aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care and medication administration.
Collaborate with nursing staff to implement individualized care plans for patients with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments.
Provide specialized care for geriatric patients in long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or hospice environments.
Assist with medical procedures such as phlebotomy or basic life support when trained and certified.
Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical records and documentation.

Skills

Proven experience working with diverse populations including seniors, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring specialized memory or dementia care.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation and patient record management.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and utilize safe lifting practices during patient transfers or manual handling tasks.
Excellent caregiver communication skills to effectively coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and provide compassionate patient service.
Experience working in various healthcare settings including hospital medicine, ICU, emergency medicine, post-acute care, outpatient clinics, or home & community care environments.
Certifications such as CPR/BLS are required; additional certifications like Phlebotomy or DME (Durable Medical Equipment) training are a plus.
Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures and familiarity with urgent care protocols enhances your ability to respond swiftly to patient needs.
