Join an Industry-Leading Door Manufacturer. We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations in our stile and rail door manufacturing facility in Shawano, WI. This role requires an understanding of wood joinery, door assembly processes, quality standards, and personnel management. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring safety, productivity, quality, and on-time delivery of custom and standard wood doors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ( Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following)
Production Management
- Supervise all production activities across multiple workstations (cutting, milling, stile/rail assembly, paneling, sanding, finishing, etc.)
- Coordinate production schedules to meet deadlines and customer delivery expectations
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials (e.g., lumber, glue, veneers) and communicate needs to purchasing personnel.
- Ensure accurate use of machinery such as CNC routers, moulders, tenoners, and panel saws
Quality Assurance
- Enforce quality standards for stile and rail construction, glue-up integrity, machining tolerances, and finish
- Conduct inspections at various stages of production to prevent defects or rework
- Work with Quality Control team to resolve issues and implement corrective actions
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 10–30 production employees, including assemblers, machine operators, and finishers
- Provide training on safety procedures, machine operation, and best practices in craftsmanship
- Manage performance, attendance, and resolve conflicts professionally
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment that complies with OSHA standards
- Participate in regular safety meetings and work closely with Safety Coordinator to maintain documentation of incidents or near misses
Continuous Improvement
- Identify areas for workflow improvement, waste reduction, and efficiency gains
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and contribute to 5S programs
Qualifications:
Required:
- 3–5 years supervisory experience in wood manufacturing, preferably in stile and rail or architectural door production
- Strong knowledge of wood properties, joinery techniques, adhesives, and finish processes
- Ability to read and interpret production drawings, blueprints, and cut lists
- Solid understanding of production metrics (yield, takt time, throughput, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or ERP/MRP systems
Preferred:
- Vocational training or associate degree in woodworking, industrial technology, or related field
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies

- Schedule: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Thursday, with occasional OT on Fridays
