Patient Intake Supervisor

Location: Manitowoc, Sheboygan, or Wautoma, Wisconsin (Travel to Noble Community Clinics locations required)

Lead the Front Door to Exceptional Patient Care

At Noble Community Clinics, our Patient Intake team is often the first point of contact for our patients. We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and collaborative Patient Intake Supervisor to lead our intake operations while ensuring every patient receives an exceptional experience from their very first interaction.

This leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys developing high-performing teams, improving processes, navigating complex insurance and enrollment programs, and making healthcare more accessible for the communities we serve.

What You'll Do

As the Patient Intake Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our Patient Intake department across multiple clinic locations. You will provide leadership and support to Intake Coordinators while ensuring efficient patient registration, insurance verification, financial counseling, Medicaid and Marketplace enrollment, and compliance with Federal Qualified Health Center (FQHC) requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the Patient Intake team across multiple clinic locations.
Oversee patient registration, insurance verification, Medicaid and Marketplace enrollment, and financial counseling services.
Serve as a resource for patients regarding insurance coverage, Medicaid, Medicare, Marketplace enrollment, and Noble's Sliding Fee Discount Program.
Monitor departmental performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational excellence.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve standardized workflows and processes.
Stay current on CMS, Marketplace, and regulatory updates affecting patient enrollment and eligibility.
Serve as the OCHIN Epic Super User for patient registration and enabling services.
Partner with clinical and operational leaders to improve patient access and the overall patient experience.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and patient confidentiality standards.
Travel periodically to Noble Community Clinics locations to support staff and operations.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a collaborative leader who enjoys solving problems, building strong teams, and helping patients navigate the healthcare system.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience with Medicaid enrollment and Health Insurance Marketplace programs
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems
CPR Certification (or ability to obtain if required by policy)
Certified Application Counselor (CAC) or willingness to obtain certification within one year of hire

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree
Three to five years of supervisory or management experience
Experience in insurance verification, prior authorizations, and denials prevention
Experience working within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or community health setting
Experience using OCHIN Epic
