About Shoco Marine

Shoco Marine, LLC is a wholesale distributor of boating and marine products serving a nine-state region across the southeastern United States. Founded in 1956 and based in Shelby, NC, Shoco proudly serves commercial, institutional, and residential customers by providing exceptional customer service and high-quality products, including dock systems, boat trailers, and other marine-related products.

Shoco is looking for an enthusiastic, self-sufficient, and detail-oriented Office and Administration Manager to oversee key activities supporting our customers, vendors, and employees. The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, great communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.

The Office and Administration Manager position reports to Shoco’s owners.

Job Overview

The Office & Administration Manager is responsible for ensuring key administrative activities are performed in a timely and professional manner. The position works closely and maintains strong business relationships with all employees, vendors, and customers to help Shoco Marine achieve its business objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Play a central role in contributing to a healthy, engaging work environment by setting a positive tone for our customers and employees.

· Ensure the smooth completion of key day-to-day activities of the company, including execution of key administrative processes, including greeting visitors, answering phones, maintaining documents, managing office supplies and equipment, and providing general support as needed.

· Responsible for timely and accurate completion of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory Management processes, including:

§ Customer invoicing, payment processing, and collection activities.

§ Accounts Payable activities, including posting new bills and paying vendors.

§ Inventory Management activities, including processing inbound and outbound shipments, making inventory adjustments, supporting ongoing inventory reviews and physical counts.

§ Address customer/vendor questions, issues, and concerns as needed.

· Work closely with Shoco’s owners and outside accounting firm on period-end closing processes.

· Support key HR-related processes, including new hire paperwork, time & attendance, and bi-weekly payroll processing.

· Manage building and fleet-related activities, including tracking driver time & mileage, processing annual registrations, and coordinating repairs & maintenance.

· Proactively identify and solve problems, improve existing processes, and take on special projects

Qualifications

· Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred (but not required).

· 3+ years’ experience as an Office Manager, Administrative Assistant, Bookkeeper, or similar role, preferably in a retail or wholesale distribution environment.

· Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience, particularly with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory Management.

· General familiarity with ERP systems or accounting software; proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

· Detail-oriented, highly organized, self-starter able to work independently and juggle multiple tasks.

· Flexible, open-minded, curious, willing and able to take on new responsibilities.

· Pleasant, outgoing, and professional demeanor. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to positively interact with employees, customers, and vendors.

· Reliable and trustworthy, possessing sound judgement and discretion.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
