Essential Journey Counseling, located in Gastonia and Waxhaw, NC, supports Associate Clinical Therapists (LCMHCA, LCSWA, LMFTA, LCASA) in their journey toward full licensure. Job Responsibilities:

Establish positive, trusting rapport with clients.

Conduct thorough client intake and assessments.

Develop individualized treatment plans under supervision.

Provide regular counseling sessions (individual, couples/family, and group).

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Participate in regular supervision meetings and staff meetings.

Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice.

Meet weekly and monthly productivity requirements for licensure hour accumulation.

Be available to work a hybrid schedule, including in-person sessions, based on your clients' clinical needs and preferences.

Qualifications/Skills:

Master’s degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.

Current licensure as an LCMHCA, LCSWA, LMFTA, or LCASA in North Carolina or South Carolina.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to build rapport with clients.

Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.1

Current licensure as an LCMHCA, LCSWA, LMFTA, or LCASA in North Carolina or South Carolina.
Salary Range: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour
