Full Job Description

The Opportunity:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This position will support multiple companies.

What You will Do:

Responsible for daily cash reconciliation.
Responsible to approve/decline positive pay exceptions.
Prepare internal financial statements.
Prepare journal entries, supporting reconciliations.
Record all payroll journal entries.
Reconcile intercompany accounts.
Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Reconcile monthly bank statements.
Initiate ACH payments and create bank transfers.
Assist with financial and insurance audits.
Prepare and file sales and use tax returns.
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
Establish cross-functional relationships with other departments within multiple companies.

What You Have:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in an Accounting or Finance function
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Capacity to work in a fast-paced, multi-company environment
Experience with QuickBooks preferred
Strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, and an elevated level of accuracy
