Full Job Description

The Title Clerk processes all documentation related to the sale or trade of vehicles, including titles, registration, and related paperwork. They work closely with sales, finance, and accounting departments to ensure all transactions are accurate, timely, and compliant with state and federal regulations. They are expected to work well with other team members- operating in a state of professionalism and team spirit.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and process all title and registration paperwork for new and used vehicles.
Verify the accuracy of all documents related to vehicle sales (title applications, bills of sale, odometer statements, lien releases, etc.).
Submit title and registration applications to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or other state agencies.
Maintain records of all title transactions and follow up on any pending applications.
Process and track payoff checks for trade-ins and ensure liens are properly released.
Reconcile title and registration receipts with dealership accounting records.
Handle duplicate titles, lost titles, or corrected titles as needed.
Assist customers and internal staff with title-related inquiries.
Stay current on state and federal titling and registration laws and dealership compliance requirements.
Assist accounting department
Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
