Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and experienced Child Care Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of our early childhood education center. This vital role involves managing classroom environments, ensuring high-quality care and education, and fostering a nurturing atmosphere where children can thrive. The Child Care Director will coordinate staff, communicate effectively with parents, and uphold all licensing and safety standards. Duties

Lead and supervise classroom activities, ensuring they align with developmental best practices and curriculum standards.
Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a motivated and qualified team.
Oversee child supervision to ensure safety and engagement during all activities, including toddler care, infant care, and preschool programs.
Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws, health regulations, and licensing requirements related to childcare centers.
Foster positive communication with parents through regular updates, conferences, and addressing concerns promptly.
Implement behavior management strategies that promote respectful interactions and social-emotional growth among children.
Coordinate curriculum planning focused on childhood development instruction, early childhood education principles, and classroom management techniques.
Ensure all staff hold current certifications in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and other relevant safety training.
Conduct regular safety checks of the facility, including playgrounds and classroom environments, to uphold health standards.
Promote an inclusive environment by supporting children with special needs or disabilities through tailored activities and collaboration with specialists.

Required Experience & Attributes

Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be strongly considered
Proven leadership experience in an operational or educational management role
Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams
Experience in strategic planning, operational oversight, or customer-facing leadership environments
Strong executive-level organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and execute effectively
Growth mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and leadership development
Leadership style grounded in service, empathy, influence, and collaboration
