FlexTrades is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to support one of our manufacturing clients. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC horizontal lathes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing complex, precision-machined components.
Qualified candidates must have experience with Live Tooling, Dual Turret, and Dual Spindle CNC lathes, as well as Fanuc Controls. Experience with G-code, blueprint reading, GD&T, machine setups, and precision inspection is required.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC horizontal lathes (multi-axis, dual turret/spindle, live tooling).
- Run two machines at once with different setups.
- Perform setups: tooling, jaws, offsets, and adjustments.
- Read and make basic edits to G-code programs.
- Machine complex parts to tight tolerances (±0.0005”).
- Read blueprints and work independently from setup sheets.
- Perform first article and in-process inspections (Plan B & C).
- Measure parts using standard precision tools (CMM, mics, calipers, gauges).
Qualifications
- Experience with live tooling, dual turret, and dual spindle CNC lathes (required).
- Experience with Fanuc controls (required).
- Ability to read and edit G-code.
- Skilled in machine setups and frequent changeovers.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge (required).
- Ability to hold tight tolerances (±0.0005”).
- Strong inspection and measurement skills.
- Experience with DMG Mori, Okuma, or Mazak machines preferred; three-turret a plus.
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay: $38/hour
- Guaranteed Overtime Each Week paid at time and a half
