This position provides clerical, programmatic, and administrative support functions for staff, applicants and clients of the Caddo Parish Child Welfare office.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

Responsible for payments in the Tracking Information Payment System
Provide general clerical support to agency staff members
Process all special board payments
Serve as receptionist relief person as needed
File maintenance of all records related to child welfare cases
Process a large volume of payments to vendors and providers

Position-Specific Details:
Location: This vacancy is located in the Caddo Parish Child Welfare Office in Shreveport, LA.

Work Schedule: Typical work hours are 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday

Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.
