Registered Nurse - PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) – Shreveport, LA

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care or PACU preferred

What You’ll Do

Provide expert post-anesthesia nursing care to patients recovering from surgery
Monitor vital signs, manage pain, and address patient needs during recovery
Assess patient responses and adapt care plans accordingly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Communicate effectively with patients and their families to explain procedures and provide reassurance
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress
Adhere to safety and infection control protocols in a healthcare environment

What You Need

Current RN license in Louisiana
BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
CPI certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute
2+ years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in PACU or critical care settings
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
Proficiency with computer systems and clinical software
