Curiosity Corner Coordinator – Duties & Responsibilities
Supports the day-to-day coordination, implementation, and growth of CPC’s Curiosity Corners throughout Grant County.
Works under the direction of the Executive Director to ensure Curiosity Corners reflect CPC’s mission and provide welcoming, engaging, and developmentally appropriate opportunities for young children and families within community and business settings.
Coordinates with participating businesses and community partners regarding the installation, maintenance, rotation, and continued operation of Curiosity Corners.
Conducts regular visits to Curiosity Corner locations to ensure materials are clean, organized, safe, functional, and appropriately displayed.
Assists with designing and developing hands-on activities that encourage children to explore, play, learn, and interact with their environment.
Ensures activities and materials are developmentally appropriate and support areas such as early literacy, sensory exploration, fine and gross motor development, creativity, problem-solving, and social-emotional development.
Prepares, organizes, assembles, and distributes materials needed for new and existing Curiosity Corner locations.
Maintains an inventory of Curiosity Corner materials, supplies, replacement items, signage, and activity resources.
Coordinates the rotation and replacement of activities to keep Curiosity Corners engaging and responsive to the needs and interests of children and families.
Communicates regularly with participating businesses to identify needs, address concerns, gather feedback, and provide ongoing support.
Builds and maintains positive relationships with local businesses, early childhood providers, families, community organizations, and other Curiosity Corner partners.
Assists with identifying and recruiting potential businesses and community locations for future Curiosity Corners.
Supports partnerships that connect local businesses with children and families while encouraging family-friendly environments and increased community engagement.
Assists with promoting Curiosity Corner locations through CPC outreach, community events, social media, website content, maps, printed materials, and other communication efforts.
Collects and maintains program data, including participating locations, activities, community engagement, business feedback, family feedback, and other information needed for program evaluation and grant reporting.
Assists with surveys, evaluations, photographs, success stories, and other methods used to measure and communicate the impact of Curiosity Corners.
Supports Curiosity Corner special events, launches, seasonal activities, community outreach, and other CPC events as assigned.
Represents CPC and the Curiosity Corner initiative professionally within the community and communicates the purpose and goals of the project to businesses, families, providers, and community partners.
Participates in CPC outreach efforts, trainings, meetings, and community events and must be willing to travel throughout Grant County and occasionally outside the area as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Knowledge of or interest in Early Childhood Education, child development, family engagement, or community-based programming.
Creative ability to develop simple, engaging, hands-on learning and play experiences for young children.
Understanding of developmentally appropriate activities and environments for young children.
Experience or interest in working with children, families, businesses, and community organizations.
Knowledge of the Grant County community, including local businesses, families, resources, and community needs, preferred.
Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain safe, clean, organized, and inviting spaces.
Ability to manage multiple Curiosity Corner locations, activities, supplies, and timelines.
Ability to work independently with initiative while receiving direction, feedback, and mentorship.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a broad and diverse community population.
Ability to communicate professionally with business owners, families, providers, community partners, and CPC staff.
Ability to collect, organize, and maintain program data and documentation.
Ability to assist with presentations, outreach materials, social media content, and promotion of Curiosity Corners.
Ability to lift, transport, assemble, organize, and install Curiosity Corner materials and supplies as needed.
Ability to respond to program and community needs within a flexible schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Family Studies, Community Development, Education, or a related field and/or relevant direct experience working with young children, families, businesses, or community-based programs.
Must pass required background check.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for travel to Curiosity Corner locations.
Wage/Position:
Contractual position.
Responsible for applicable taxes, including GRT and self-employment taxes.
Current W-9 must be on file with CPC.
Will receive a 1099 from CPC in accordance with applicable requirements.
