Experienced Newborn Care Specialist Needed for First-Time Parents

Location: Herndon, VA

Hourly: $35-$50/hr

Hours: 1pm-5pm shift 4-5 days a week (8-12 weeks)

Are you an experienced Newborn Care Specialist looking to support first-time parents during the precious early months with their baby? A warm family in Herndon is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate newborn professional to begin ASAP, caring for their 4-week-old baby during 1:00 PM–5:00 PM shifts, 4–5 days per week, for approximately 8–12 weeks. The ideal candidate has extensive newborn experience and is confident supporting infant feeding, sleep routines, soothing techniques, and early development while providing guidance and reassurance to first-time parents. They are looking for someone calm, professional, and collaborative who enjoys partnering with families during this exciting stage. The family has a highly trained service dog, so comfort around dogs is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced newborn care professional seeking a rewarding temporary placement with a wonderful family.

Qualifications

3+ years of dedicated professional newborn care experience
Must be legal to work in the US
Excellent communication skills
Up-to-date vaccinations (TDAP required Flu & COVID)
Current Infant CPR and First Aid certification
Must be comfortable around 1 dog
Clear work history with strong, verifiable newborn care references.
Professionalism, discretion, and reliability.
Must be local to the DC-area

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
