Location: Gaithersburg, Maryland (Hybrid flexibility available)

Revive Life is a compassionate, judge-free outpatient program dedicated to helping individuals facing mental health challenges and substance use disorders. We specialize in Outpatient (OP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) levels of care.

As our Medical Director, you will be at the heart of that mission, steering clinical excellence while helping individuals reclaim their lives.

We are seeking a collaborative and clinically strong Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to serve as our OMHC Medical Director while also maintaining a manageable patient caseload within our PHP/IOP/OP continuum. This role is largely consistent with the clinical and professional services of a PMHNP, and less focused on administrative and policy based responsibilities and is strongly supported by Clinical Director and Compliance Director.

Position Overview

This role combines:

Clinical leadership and supervision
Psychiatric evaluations and medication management
Program oversight and multidisciplinary collaboration

This is an excellent opportunity for a PMHNP seeking meaningful leadership involvement without a full-time administrative burden.

Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership

Serve as Medical Director with clinical focus for OMHC services
Provide psychiatric oversight for patients with mental health and co-occurring disorders
Collaborate with clinical director, other psychiatric nurse practitioners, and leadership
Guide treatment-resistant conditions with the support of other PMHNPs through advanced interventions including ketamine-assisted treatment, intranasal esketamine/ Spravato or long-acting injectables
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings
Support clinical quality, safety, and compliance initiatives
Assist with development and refinement of clinical protocols and best practices
Provide consultation and guidance to clinical staff as needed
This role does not entail operational, executive, budgeting, program development or other administrative activities

Direct Patient Care

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
Provide medication management for PHP, IOP, and OP patients
Monitor patient progress and treatment response
Support crisis assessment and clinical decision-making
Document services in accordance with payer and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Required

Board Certified PMHNP license
Active Maryland medical license (or ability to obtain)
DEA registration
Experience treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, and/or co-occurring conditions in an outpatient setting
Strong collaborative and communication skills

Preferred

Experience in PHP, IOP, or community behavioral health settings is a plus
Experience with co-occurring mental health and substance use treatment
Interest in measurement-based care and outcomes-driven treatment
Supervisory or leadership experience
