Assistant Community Manager

Balaciano Group is hiring a full-time Assistant Community Manager to support daily operations, resident relations, and community management at one of our Los Angeles–area apartment communities at The Q, located in the Warner Center in Woodland Hills.

The Q is a collection of communities known for striking design, warm hospitality, innovative technology, vibrant resident events, and a strong sense of community.

This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of recent property management experience who is ready to grow in a resident-focused, hospitality-driven environment.

You’ll work closely with the Community Manager and as part of a collaborative onsite team to help keep the property running smoothly while delivering a high-quality resident experience.

Responsibilities

Resident Relations

Serve as a friendly, professional point of contact for residents.
Respond to resident questions, feedback, and concerns with timely follow-up.
Help create a welcoming and service-oriented community environment.
Conduct resident outreach to gather feedback and assess satisfaction.
Investigate resident complaints and support timely, professional resolution.
Provide exceptional customer service and lead by example in resident interactions.
Exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism in a variety of situations.

Community Operations

Assist with resident move-ins, move-outs, unit inspections, and related documentation.
Prepare and distribute lease documents, notices, and resident communications.
Support rent collection, accounts receivable, delinquency follow-up, and accurate financial recordkeeping.
Coordinate maintenance requests and work orders to support timely issue resolution.
Enforce community policies and regulations.
Assist with lease renewals, including resident outreach and follow-up.
Conduct routine property inspections to help maintain curb appeal and community standards.
Support budget and vendor management, expense tracking, purchase orders, and invoice tracking.
Ensure compliance with property management policies, procedures, regulations, and fair housing laws.
Prepare reports related to renewals, delinquencies, resident satisfaction, and financial performance as directed by the Community Manager.

Administrative Support

Use Microsoft Office Suite and property management systems, including Yardi Voyager and CRM software.
Maintain key and fob tracking in Yardi Management software.
Manage inventory and order administrative supplies as needed.
Stay current on property management, maintenance, and resident service best practices.
Follow company policies and procedures while promoting a respectful work environment.
Maintain a professional appearance in alignment with company dress guidelines.
Assist the leasing team with apartment showings when needed.
Participate in the emergency on-call rotation for property maintenance issues as needed.
Complete other assigned tasks as directed.

Qualifications

1–2 years of recent property management experience required, preferably in resident relations or assistant manager responsibilities at a comparable residential apartment community.
Experience with Yardi Voyager, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
Financial acumen with budgeting or fiscal reporting experience is a plus.
Strong communication, customer service, and follow-up skills.
Ability to remain professional, calm, and service-focused in a fast-paced environment.
Strong multitasking, prioritization, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy and follow-through.
Positive, personable, team-oriented approach.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Open to feedback and adaptable to changing priorities.
Follow community dress guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Able to stand, sit, walk, and lift-up to 20 pounds without assistance.

Schedule and Location

This is a full-time, in-person role. Schedule depends on the assigned community.

Typical schedules are:

Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Community locations include:

Woodland Hills, CA
Playa Del Rey, CA
