Full Job Description

In The Mix Events is looking for a full-time Office & Pesonal Assitant that does some Sales, to help grow our event business through networking, client meetings, and relationship-based sales.

We are seeking someone who is outgoing, professional, organized, has a passion for events & people, and is confident in client-facing situations.

This person will be the personal assistant of the CEO, will help generate new business leads, build strong relationships, and support the sales process so leadership can focus more on the overall growth of the company.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong sales background and experience in the events, AV, wedding, or entertainment industry.

In The Mix Events creates memorable event experiences through services such as DJs/Emcees, audio visual rentals, lighting setup, photo booths, and more. We serve clients across mainly Ventura, but also around Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles counties and are known for our personalized approach, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Generate new business through networking, referrals, outreach, and relationship-building
Represent In The Mix Events at networking events, industry events, and client meetings
Meet with prospective clients to learn about their event needs, goals, and budget
Recommend services and packages based on the client’s event vision
Use AI and related software to improve service and efficiency
Follow up with leads and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Manage the sales process from initial contact through booking
Prepare proposals, quotes, and other sales-related materials
Maintain organized records of leads, conversations, and next steps
Build trust with event professionals and potential clients and provide excellent customer service
Work closely with leadership to support business growth and improve sales efficiency

Qualifications

Previous sales experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable networking and meeting with clients in person
Professional, polished, and friendly demeanor
Strong organizational and follow-up skills
Strong understanding of CRM and Google Suite software
Self-motivated and proactive
Ability to work full-time in person in Oxnard, CA
Experience in the events, AV, wedding, hospitality, or entertainment industry strongly preferred
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Schedule

Full-time
In-person
Occasional work on evenings and weekends
