Position Overview

Jefferson Davis Community Hospital is seeking an experienced and dependable Administrative Coordinator to support Healthcare Food Operations. This position is well suited for a professional who takes pride in organization, reliability, communication, and maintaining efficient day-to-day operations in a healthcare environment.

We are looking for someone who can work independently, manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision, and bring a strong sense of professionalism and accountability to the role.

Schedule is approximately 25 hours per week with opportunity for additional hours as needed

What you'll be doing:

Provide day-to-day administrative support for Healthcare Food Operations
Assist with employee scheduling and payroll-related processes
Build and maintain operational spreadsheets, reports, and presentations
Utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and spreadsheet management using basic formulas
Coordinate recruitment communication, candidate outreach, and follow-up calls
Maintain organized records, files, and departmental documentation
Support operational workflow and leadership initiatives
Assist with local travel coordination and limited remote administrative functions as needed

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add a skilled, motivated office coordinator to our Healthcare Foodservice team in Prentiss, MS. As an office coordinator, you will have the opportunity to assist in administrative tasks and to manage daily office needs.

What we're looking for:

Associate degree in Business Administration or related field preferred OR equivalent professional administrative experience
Prior administrative, office management, healthcare support, or operations experience preferred
Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities effectively
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Dependable attendance and professional work ethic
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including:
- - Excel, including creation of spreadsheets and use of formulas
  - PowerPoint
  - Word
  - Outlook
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Professional phone communication skills, particularly regarding candidate recruitment and coordination
Ability to learn operational systems and processes efficiently

Where you'll be working:

This position is primarily onsite at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital and may require occasional local travel with limited remote work flexibility.

Compensation Range

Pay rate starts up to $18.00 per hour based upon relevant experience
