Full Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, ensuring the accuracy of financial information and compliance with regulations.

Duties:

Process job costed payroll accurately and timely, to include Davis Bacon wage processing.
Accounts receivable/payable: Manage the entire accounts receivable and payable process, including invoicing, processing payments and resolution of any discrepancies.
Answering incoming calls.
Collaborate with Manager and Controller along with other members to improve processes and streamline operations.
Provide support for audits and tax filings as needed.
Assist with special projects.

Experience:

The successful candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, finance or accounting degree preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Self-directed, critical thinker.
Proficient in using accounting software and MS office applications, especially Excel. Computer Ease knowledge a plus.
