Job Title: Welder / Fitter
Location: 531 Old Swede Road – Douglassville, PA 19518
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5:00AM–1:30PM | Full-time on-site

What This Role Really Is
This is a hands-on structural welding and fitting role—you’ll spend most of your time laying out, fitting, aligning, and welding large steel components in a manufacturing environment, and being accountable for fit-up accuracy, weld quality, and structural integrity

What You’ll Do
Fit-Up & Structural Assembly
-
Lay out, fit, and assemble structural steel components prior to welding
-
Align, clamp, and tack components to meet blueprint and tolerance requirements
-
Verify dimensions, squareness, and fit-up using measuring tools
-
Perform rework (grinding, torching, adjusting) to ensure proper fit before welding
Welding & Fabrication

Perform SMAW (stick), FCAW (flux core), and GTAW (TIG) welding
-
Produce quality welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
-
Set up and adjust welding equipment for optimal performance
Blueprint & Technical Work

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
-
Fabricate and assemble structural and machine components
Material Handling & Shop Support
-
Operate cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
-
Participate in cross-training and continuous development
What We’re Looking For
Education
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
-
3+ years of industrial welding and structural fitting experience
-
Experience with heavy plate, large weldments, and fabricated assemblies preferred
Technical Skills
-
Proficiency in SMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding processes
-
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
-
Experience with layout, fit-up, and structural alignment

Strong mechanical aptitude and measurement accuracy

Ability to identify and correct fit-up issues prior to welding

REQUIREMENTS

Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship

Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with applicable laws

Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and randomized drug testing during employment

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work on your feet for extended periods

Ability to work in an industrial fabrication environment with exposure to welding fumes and noise

Ability to safely operate welding equipment, tools, and material handling equipment
