Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, promoting health, preventing illness, and managing acute and chronic conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set, including expertise in medical office operations, patient assessment, and a variety of specialized medical procedures. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community health through patient-centered care delivered in an outpatient setting.

Duties

Provide direct patient care in outpatient clinic, urgent care, and hospital settings
Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
Prescribe medications, treatments, and preventative care plans
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and medical reports
Maintain accurate and timely patient records using electronic health systems
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Educate patients on health conditions, treatments, and preventative care
Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
Participate in quality, safety, and patient engagement initiatives
Serve on medical staff committees as needed

Skills

Proficiency with EMR systems like Epic or similar electronic health record platforms.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic radiology including CT imaging.
Experience with diverse clinical procedures such as IV infusion, neurocritical care techniques, airway management, and catheterization.
Familiarity with specialties including psychiatry, endocrinology, cardiology, dermatology, obstetrics & gynecology (Ob/Gyn), neonatology, and pediatric critical & intensive care.
Ability to perform comprehensive physical examinations across age groups with attention to detail.
Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication and education.
Experience in hospital medicine or inpatient settings is highly desirable.
Basic life support (BLS) certification; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are advantageous.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Commitment to ongoing professional development through clinical research or continuing education activities.
