Full Job Description

Accounting Assistant: This mid-level Accounting position within Bierschbach Equipment & Supply is located in Sioux Falls, SD. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to coordinate our Accounts Receivable with additional support provided to our other administrative teams. This is an excellent opportunity to join an employee-owned company!

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable:
- Initiate contact with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to follow up on overdue invoices.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments and address any concerns.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and prioritize collection efforts.
- Maintain accurate records of collection activities and two-way customer communications.

Accounting:
- Assist with both AR and AP as needed.

Human Resources:
- Assist with HR-related tasks such as maintaining employee records, posting job openings, assist with employee benefit offerings and onboarding new employees.
- Track employee participation and completion of training and wellness programs.

Administrative Duties:
- Maintain equipment warranty registrations.
- Maintain and follow up on service department warranty claims.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
Experience in Accounts Receivable, collections, or a similar role preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication, follow-up and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screen required.
