Tap House Manager & Beer Tender/ Barista

We are looking to hire a manager for our Sisters, Oregon location. Currently the taphouse is under construction, with a projected opening date of 11/11/26. The manager position will start approximately 30 days prior to opening and will assist the general manager and owner with successfully opening on the projected start date.
Description of Position
We’re looking for an dependable, enthusiastic, highly skilled, self-motivated and independent leader to manage our tap house. The manager will effectively multitask and problem solve to ensure smooth operations, and is responsible for all the operations of the tap house, including but not limited to: financial performance, guest satisfaction, event coordination, staff management, preparedness for daily service, schedule management, social media postings, web management, inventory management, enforcing DOH and OLCC regulations, etc.
The manager must have excellent organizational skills and be DEPENDABLE. This position requires someone with great people skills who can effectively motivate and lead a team. They must also possess strong problem solving skills.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Create and maintain a friendly environment that is welcoming, exciting and extremely clean for all customers
- Track and manage inventory and other operational costs
- Maintain the staff schedule, approve time off and manage all schedule changes
- Create and implement new hire training procedures and manage and maintain adequate staffing levels.
- Ensure all personnel have a deep knowledge of Warming Hut No.4’s core beliefs
- Ensure all personnel are educated on beer, wine, cider, coffee and spirits and can discuss what is currently available with customers
- Will regularly open and close the tap house, including the espresso program
- Maintain daily cleanliness of the taproom and organize regular cleaning and maintenance
- POS System knowledge, maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting
- Will be accountable for all cash/credit card sales
- Will regularly troubleshoot draft issues and maintain draft lines (training provided)
- Will make espresso drinks and maintain and clean espresso machine (and grinders)
- Oversee and organize walk-in cooler inventory and cleaning schedules
- Work with the general manager to creatively promote Crosscut through social media. Advertise upcoming beers and develop a calendar of weekly social events
- Oversee our food partners, while overseeing quality control requirements are practiced
- Responsible for overseeing and managing the entire property (ie: Tap house, outside areas, wood/gas fire burning areas, food vendors, parking lot, overseeing security and safety procedures, etc.
- Overseeing firewood supply, weekly delivery and safety procedures are followed
- Responsible for maintaining product / supply inventory
- Winter conditions require work to be performed to remove snow/ice and perform safety measures to help prevent accidents
- Report weekly operations to the General Manager and Owner

- Current OLCC permit (or ability to obtain one) and driver’s license with a clean record.

Education and Qualifications
- Experience managing a restaurant, coffee shop or bar for at least two (2) years
- OLCC Alcohol Service Permit
- Cicerone– Level 1: Certified Beer Server Exam
(*Certificate required prior to start of employment)
- Cicerone- Level 2: Certified Cicerone Certification a huge plus!
- TiPS Exam- Required to pass prior to start of work
(Certificate required prior to start of employment, paid by company when hired)
- Draft system and proper beer storage knowledge
- Experience making espresso drinks
- Experience or interest in brewing and craft beer culture
- Basic computer skills and general proficiency with common office applications
- Basic proficiency in creating, editing, and maintaining spreadsheets
- Familiarity with Google Drive and related Google Workspace applications
- Ability to organize, manage, and share digital files effectively
- Marketing and social media experience
- Event and entertainment experience
Working Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Heavy lifting, capable of lifting 75 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to temperature changes due to weather and/ or while working in the walk-in cooler.
- Winter conditions require snow/ice removal and perform safety measures at all times to help prevent accidents.
- Required to stand for extended periods of time (8 hours or more) when overseeing operations and/or serving beverages. They may also be required to lift 35-75 lb boxes and move full ½ bbl kegs with the help of a dolly/hand truck/lift system.
- Able to stoop, crawl, twist, turn, lift, kneel, climb ladders and stairs.
- Able to work in an indoor and outdoor environment with sometimes slippery floors.
- Able to work in varying degrees of temperatures that is typical for a retail bar industry.
- Floor surface may vary from hard tiled floor or concrete to wood.
- Ability to tolerate a fast work pace that is typical for a retail bar industry.
- The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
- Management shifts and serving shifts are required.

Accountability
- This position reports to and works with the General Manager of Warming Hut Operations, LLC.
- Must follow all state and local OLCC and DOH requirements.
- This position will require an open availability and involves working early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
