Front Office Manager

Aspen Suites Hotel Sitka | Sitka, Alaska

Lead the Team That Creates Every First Impression

At Aspen Suites Hotel Sitka, the Front Office Manager is more than a department leader. You are the face of the hotel, setting the tone for every guest experience while building a team that is welcoming, engaged, and committed to exceptional service.

We're looking for an experienced hospitality leader who enjoys developing people, improving operations, and creating memorable guest experiences. If you're passionate about coaching teams, solving challenges, and leading by example, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As Front Office Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the Front Desk while ensuring an outstanding experience for every guest.

Responsibilities include:

Lead, coach, and develop the Front Office team through hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and ongoing development.
Foster a positive, guest-focused culture that delivers exceptional hospitality every day.
Oversee all front desk operations, including arrivals, departures, reservations, cash handling, and guest requests.
Partner closely with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure rooms are guest-ready and service standards are consistently met.
Monitor staffing levels, scheduling, labor costs, and department expenses while maximizing operational efficiency.
Review occupancy, forecasts, room availability, and daily reports to support revenue goals.
Resolve guest concerns quickly, professionally, and with sound judgment.
Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, JL Hospitality Management policies, and company Standard Operating Procedures.
Conduct regular team meetings and communicate company initiatives, promotions, and operational updates.
Maintain accurate records, reports, inventories, and department documentation.
Support the General Manager with additional operational responsibilities as needed.

Communicate effectively across all hotel departments.
Lead with accountability, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and elevate the guest experience.

What We're Looking For

One to three years of leadership experience in hotel front office operations, preferably as a Front Office Manager or Front Desk Supervisor.
Marriott select-service experience is preferred but not required.
Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
