Lakeshore Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Admissions Coordinator to join our team! As an Admissions Coordinator, you will play an important role in connecting residents and families with the care and services they need. You'll work closely with our clinical and leadership teams to ensure a smooth, welcoming admissions experience from referral through arrival.
- Coordinate with nursing to ensure rooms are ready for new admissions, returning residents, and room changes.
- Partner with maintenance and housekeeping to ensure rooms are repaired, prepared, and clean.
- Review referrals from hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare partners, including EPIC, AIDA, and faxed referrals.
- Ensure referral and resident information is entered accurately into the electronic medical record.
- Coordinate with the Admissions Director, Director of Nursing, and Administrator to support census growth and maintain strong referral relationships.
- Help ensure the admissions process is organized, timely, compliant, and focused on exceptional customer service.
- Assist with insurance verification and authorization processes when needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and required staff education.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, including the Code of Conduct and Business Ethics.
- Provide occasional after-hours, weekend, holiday, or on-call support as needed.
- Nursing home admissions or healthcare marketing experience required.
- High school diploma required.
- 3–5 years of customer service experience in a healthcare or similar setting preferred.
- Experience with healthcare admissions, referrals, or census development strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and the healthcare delivery system.
- Experience with EPIC, AIDA, electronic medical records, and basic computer programs preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance verification and obtaining authorizations preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization, problem-solving, and follow-through.
- Ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, referral sources, and healthcare professionals.
- A positive, professional, and customer-focused approach with the ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- A degree in healthcare management, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
Salary: $46,000–$52,000 per year, depending on experience
