Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Front Desk Specialist, where your energy and organizational skills will be the heartbeat of our clinic’s smooth operation! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing all administrative aspects of the dental practice. Your proactive approach will help streamline patient flow, handle insurance processes, and support the clinical team to deliver exceptional care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a fast-paced healthcare setting dedicated to excellence and patient satisfaction.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency
Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification using Dentrix
Schedule appointments accurately utilizing dental office management software
Collect payments, process co-pays, and manage collections with attention to detail and accuracy
Review dental documentation for completeness and correctness,
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and data security
Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, providing clear communication and scheduling support

Skills are a PLUS

Proven experience in a dental office or medical administrative support role with strong clerical skills
Familiarity with Dentrix is a plus
Knowledge of dental terminology
Ability to perform insurance verification accurately and handle billing processes efficiently
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and office management software like Dentrix
Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Experience with multi-line phone systems, 10-key typing, filing, and general office management tasks
Attention to detail in documentation review and compliance with HIPAA regulations is essential for success in this role
