Full Job Description

*HOURLY PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND IS NEGOTIABLE*

We are looking for a full-time paralegal or legal assistant for a busy small-staff law firm. We specialize in personal injury, business litigation and estate law. The ability to multitask and quickly adapt are necessary.

Experience desired: typing/filing basic legal documents; drafting & filing motions; working with court systems; answering phones & screening potential clients. Familiarity with business litigation, estate planning, and personal injury is a plus. English language proficiency and professional demeanor required. Work schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:30-noon and 1-5pm.

The applicant should possess the following skill set:

Proactive Attitude & Approach to Case Handling
Excellent Research, Writing & Verbal Communication Skills
Commitment to going “Above & Beyond” for the Client

This candidate should feel comfortable with:

Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Dropbox;
E-filing and fax filing in all courts;
Summarizing medical records, depositions, discovery responses and documents produced; and
Speaking with clients and witnesses (both expert and fact), conducting research, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Salary is commensurate with experience. Health insurance and 401(k) benefits are offered with full-time employment upon eligibility.
