Job Overview
We Care Health Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Clinical Program Director – Outpatient Behavioral Health to lead the daily operations, clinical services, and strategic growth of our outpatient behavioral health program.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing an outpatient behavioral health organization or program and providing leadership in clinical operations, compliance, staff supervision, credentialing, referral development, and program expansion. This individual will work closely with executive leadership to ensure high-quality care, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continued organizational growth.
The Clinical Program Director will oversee all behavioral health services provided by We Care Health Group, LLC and may provide direct behavioral health services within their scope of practice, licensure, and credentialing requirements when needed.
Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee daily operations of the outpatient behavioral health program.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and operational oversight for multidisciplinary behavioral health professionals, including LPCs, LCSWs, LACs, LMFTs, LMSWs, and other licensed clinicians.
- Supervise clinical and administrative staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
- Develop and improve policies, procedures, workflows, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Louisiana behavioral health regulations, Medicaid requirements, HIPAA, payer requirements, and organizational policies.
- Oversee documentation quality, treatment plans, progress notes, EHR/EMR standards, productivity, utilization, and quality assurance activities.
- Manage provider credentialing, recredentialing, payer enrollment, and insurance participation.
- Maintain readiness for licensing reviews, audits, accreditation surveys, and regulatory inspections.
- Support CARF accreditation efforts and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop referral relationships with courts, probation and parole, hospitals, physicians, schools, community organizations, and other referral sources.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, program development, service expansion, and organizational growth.
- Provide direct behavioral health services when necessary within scope of practice.
Qualifications Required
- Demonstrated experience directing, managing, or overseeing an outpatient behavioral health program or behavioral health organization.
- Current Louisiana behavioral health license required: LPC, LCSW, LAC, LMFT, LMSW, or other qualified behavioral health license.
- Experience managing behavioral health operations, clinical services, administrative functions, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience supervising licensed behavioral health professionals and support staff.
- Experience with Medicaid, commercial insurance, credentialing, payer enrollment, and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of Louisiana behavioral health regulations, documentation standards, reimbursement, and quality improvement.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR).
Preferred
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with CPST, PSR, IOP, outpatient therapy, and other behavioral health service lines.
- Experience with CARF accreditation, licensing surveys, audits, corrective action plans, and compliance.
- Experience serving children, adolescents, adults, and families.
- Experience with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and Crisis Intervention.
- Experience developing referral networks and expanding behavioral health programs.

Schedule
- Monday–Thursday (Friday as needed)
- Flexible daytime schedule
- Occasional evenings as needed for meetings, community outreach, or program needs

Pay: $40,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
