Reports to: General Manager
Main production responsibilities:
· Overseeing and planning production orders in agreement with the General and/or Operations Manager
· Ensuring incoming goods and raw materials are stored in a safe and organized manner
· Managing the raw material stocks and alerting the General and/or Operations Manager on low levels
· Ensuring correct raw materials for production orders are picked and dosed in a safe way
· Ensuring blended product is according to specification and fitted with correct labeling (batch sampes to be taken for water treatment products)
· Storing the produced goods in a safe and organized manner
· Ensuring the production area is safe, organized and free of hazards
· Immediately see to spills of product in a proper way that aligns with the characteristics of the spilled product
The employer will see to it that the employee has the required PPE and tools to identify the hazardous characteristics of any spill and contain/clean them. In case of doubt, the employee will escalate the situation to the team leader and/or office personnel. The employee will wear the provided PPE in line with the type of work he is performing:
· Blending and filling chemicals: full body and face protection
· Warehouse and logistical operations: Proper footwear and chemical gloves to eliminate risk when handling chemicals
Main responsibilities warehouse & logistics:
· Receiving finished goods, raw materials, and equipment and storing them in a safe and organized way
· Keeping the warehouse clean and accessible for forklift trucks
· Ensure that outgoing pallets are fixed safely and securely, suitable for road transport
· Ensuring stocked items can be visually identified by means of labels/boxes stored with labels to the front
· Monthly packaging and raw material counting
· Operating a forklift in a safe and responsible way
· Keeping the yard clean and free of hazards, accessible for large trucks
The employee must have a general respect for his own and his co-workers' safety. Disrespect of safety rules, such as the refusal to wear the proper PPE, can result in instant termination of employment.
Before leaving the workplace, the employee must ensure with his colleagues that all is clean and safe.
The employee is paid a fixed salary based on a 40-hour work week. Regular hours are weekdays from 8.30 – 16.30. There is a consensus between employer and employee that these hours can be spread flexible across regular hours and after office hours, meaning that if the employee does not reach the 40 working hours during regular office hours on weekdays due to lack of work, the employee can leave but must be on call for any work after hours and will not get extra compensation as long as the total working hours stay within 40.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
