Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior CNC Machinist to join our small machine shop team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience operating and programming various CNC machines and will be responsible for producing precision parts according to specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a CNC Machinist (15+ years preferred).
- Must have 10+ years of Mastercam software experience.
- Proficient with CNC Mill operations (Vertical, Horizontal, and 5-axis).
- Strong experience with CNC Lathe operations.
- Experience with Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machinery.
- Experience with quality control and inspection procedures.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines including mills, lathes, and EDM equipment.
- Program CNC machines using Mastercam software.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for optimal machining.
- Verify dimensions of finished products using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules.
