About Us
At AlphaGraphics Brentwood, people are at the center of everything we do — our team, our customers, and the community we serve. We’re a locally owned business with the backing of a trusted national brand, and we take pride in delivering signs and graphics that help businesses stand out and thrive.
We’re looking for a hands-on Print Production Specialist who understands print production, pays close attention to detail, and can help move jobs from file setup through printing, finishing, and final quality check.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment, knows how to prepare files correctly, and is comfortable with printing, cutting, binding, scoring, folding, and other finishing work.
What You’ll Do
1. Prepress & File Setup
Review customer-supplied files to make sure they are ready for production.
Check bleeds, margins, crop marks, resolution, color settings, fonts, and overall file quality.
Make basic file adjustments using programs such as Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, or Photoshop.
Set up files for digital printing, cutting, booklet making, binding, scoring, folding, and other production needs.
Communicate file concerns or production issues to the team before jobs move forward.
2. Digital Print Production
Operate digital printing equipment to produce business cards, flyers, postcards, booklets, brochures, forms, posters, and other printed materials.
Load paper and materials correctly based on job specifications.
Monitor print quality, color consistency, alignment, and overall accuracy throughout production.
Follow job tickets, work orders, and production instructions carefully.
Help keep jobs moving efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality.
3. Finishing & Bindery Work
Cut, trim, score, fold, bind, drill, laminate, and package printed materials.
Operate finishing equipment such as cutters, folders, scorers, binding machines, laminators, and related production tools.
Prepare booklets, manuals, presentations, cards, invitations, tabs, pads, and other finished print products.
Ensure finished products are clean, accurate, properly assembled, and ready for pickup, delivery, or shipping.
4. Quality Control & Workflow
Inspect completed jobs for accuracy, print quality, finishing quality, and overall presentation.
Catch issues before they reach the customer.
Help prioritize daily production based on deadlines and job requirements.
Maintain organized job flow from file preparation through final production.
Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
5. Team Support
Work closely with customer service, design, sales, and production team members.
Ask questions when job instructions are unclear.
Help troubleshoot production challenges.
Support other production tasks as needed, including occasional large-format or signage-related work, depending on shop workload.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in print production, digital printing, prepress, bindery, finishing, or a similar production environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to catch file, print, and finishing issues before they become customer problems.
Comfortable working with measurements, paper sizes, margins, bleeds, folds, cuts, and production specifications.
Experience with Adobe Acrobat is strongly preferred; Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop experience is a plus.
Familiarity with digital printers, cutters, binding equipment, scoring/folding equipment, laminators, or other print production tools is preferred.
Ability to read and follow job tickets, production notes, and written instructions.
Good problem-solving skills and a team-focused attitude.
