Full Job Description

Job Title: Supervised Clinician

Position Description: Supervised mental health clinician will provide culturally competent mental health services to individuals and families who are experiencing varying levels of difficulties due to life situations or mental health concerns.

Areas of Responsibility:

Provide high quality, compassionate and ethical outpatient mental health individual, family, couples, and group therapy to clients as scheduled.
Complete Intake sessions with new clients
Complete clinical documentation within 3 days of date of service (recommended to be completed daily). This includes progress notes, intake assessments, treatment plans, discharge summaries, contact notes, etc. related to documenting mental health services.
Maintain required 20 or more billable hours per week. Work hours must be maintained in a way that is responsive to client needs - approximately 36 hours/week.
Participate in marketing activities to build the agency and your client load.
Attend all meetings.
Actively participate as a positive member of the clinic environment.
Actively engage in personal marketing efforts to increase client caseload.
Complete all recommended continuing education requirements.
Stay current with updated research and best practices.
Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary.
Secure client information per HIPAA standards.
Participate in Clinical Supervision toward licensure in the state of Tennessee.
Maintain case files within electronic health record (EHR) that are up to date.
Perform other duties as assigned (including but not limited to completion of forms, authorization and billing forms, phone calls, and participating in case consultation meetings).

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:.

Skill in applying varied interventions with individuals/families in crisis.
Skill in working with diverse cultures.
Skill in working independently and implementing time management strategies.
Ability to provide necessary self-care.
Ability to demonstrate positive team interactions with other clinic staff.
Awareness of personal strengths and appropriate timing for referrals.

Education and Experience:

A masters degree in a mental health-related field with eligibility for licensure.
Previous experience in group, individual, and family counseling.

Salary

The employee will be paid 50% of all charges for services performed by the employee.
The employee is eligible for a bonus for any billable time above 100 hours/month. Any hours above 100 will be paid at 55% of the charges for services performed by the employee within the calendar month prior.
Employees are paid on the 15th of each month for services rendered in the calendar month prior.
