Full Job Description

BIG Management Inc. is looking to add to our growing team! We are a local property management and development company based in Bellevue, Washington that specializes as owner representatives in helping clients to acquire properties to bring out their full potential.

We are looking for a talented and driven Accounting Assistant to support daily accounting operation and/or projects from acquisition through post-construction. The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, the capacity to multitask, and sound time management skills.

General Summary of Duties:

The essential functions of this position include the following, which may be updated as needed.

Strong with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and spreadsheets.
Maintain Accounting department files and records.
Process checks and verifies remittance against business accounts.
Ensures accurate and timely processing of daily transactions.
Reconcile bank accounts for all of properties.
Assist with month-end close, credit card reconciliations and general bookkeeping.
Perform general clerical duties and assist with special accounting projects.
Coordinate client’s foreign companies’ financials for CPA to file U.S. tax filings.
Assist with general office administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Mandarin Chinese speaking/reading is a plus.
One-year of general Accounting/or Finance experience required.
Bachelor’s or Associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Strong organizational skills and high mindfulness.
Excellent verbal, written and people skills.
Ability to learn quickly, work independently and collaborate as part of a team.
Strong computer skills, especially Excel proficiency
Real Estate industry experience is a plus.
SAGE accounting software experience is a plus.
Ability to follow written procedures and checklists.
Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification.
Intense sense of confidentiality and data accuracy
Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners.
Opportunity for growth in Staff Accountant or Property Accountant role
Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records in accordance with company standards.
