About Martin Media
Martin Media is a fast-growing video production company based in Soldotna, Alaska. We specialize in crafting meaningful wedding films and strategic video content for businesses and organizations throughout Alaska.
Our founder, Josiah Martin, is a Christian entrepreneur committed to high-impact storytelling that serves people, strengthens businesses, and showcases the beauty of Alaska.
We value creativity, integrity, excellence, personal growth, and serving others well. We're building a tight-knit team of professionals who care about the quality of their work, take ownership of their responsibilities, and want to grow alongside the company.
Role Overview
Martin Media is looking for a Post-Production Supervisor / Videographer to take ownership of the quality, organization, and execution of our post-production workflow.
This is primarily a post-production role.
You'll help ensure projects move efficiently from footage to final delivery while maintaining Martin Media's creative and technical standards. You'll edit select high-priority projects, review work from other editors, provide clear revision notes, help train and manage remote editors, and keep projects organized and moving toward their deadlines.
While post-production will be your primary responsibility, you'll also have opportunities to assist with production. You should be comfortable operating a camera, assisting on larger shoots, serving as a second shooter when needed, and independently handling simpler productions.
You are not expected to step in as our primary lead videographer from day one. However, for the right person, there may be opportunities to grow into greater production responsibilities over time.
We're looking for someone who combines a strong creative eye with organization, leadership, communication, and a willingness to take ownership.
Key ResponsibilitiesPost-Production Supervision
- Oversee the post-production workflow across Martin Media projects
- Review edits from internal and remote editors for creative consistency, storytelling, pacing, technical quality, and brand standards
- Provide clear, actionable feedback and revision notes to editors
- Help assign projects and manage editing workloads across the team
- Monitor deadlines and ensure projects continue moving toward completion
- Communicate internal and client feedback clearly to the appropriate team members
- Help train and develop editors to improve quality and consistency
- Maintain organized project files, footage, assets, and workflows
- Identify bottlenecks and help improve post-production systems
Editing & Creative Execution
- Serve as an editor for select high-touch, complex, or narrative-driven projects
- Edit wedding films, interviews, brand stories, social content, and other client projects as needed
- Uphold Martin Media's cinematic storytelling style and quality standards
- Work primarily within Adobe Premiere Pro, with Photoshop and Lightroom used as needed
- Stay current with editing trends, techniques, and emerging AI tools that can improve workflow and creative output
- Collaborate with Josiah and the team on storytelling, creative direction, and project execution
- Create basic thumbnails, graphics, or other supporting creative assets when needed
Videography & Production Support
- Assist Martin Media's production team on select shoots
- Serve as a second shooter or supporting videographer when needed
- Independently handle simpler video shoots when appropriate
- Operate professional camera, audio, and lighting equipment confidently
- Assist with shot lists, visual concepts, location planning, and other pre-production needs
- Capture weddings, events, interviews, and commercial projects professionally and respectfully
- Operate a drone when needed if qualified
- Develop toward greater production responsibility as your skills and experience grow
Team Contribution
We're looking for more than someone who can edit a good video.
You'll be expected to:
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members and contractors
- Take ownership of projects rather than waiting to be told every next step
- Maintain high personal standards for quality and organization
- Think critically and solve problems independently
- Receive feedback well and give constructive feedback to others
- Contribute creative ideas during pre-production and storyboarding
- Adapt quickly when priorities or production needs change
- Help build systems that make the entire creative team stronger
QualificationsRequired
- Professional video editing and/or videography experience
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
- Working knowledge of Photoshop and Lightroom
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, audio, color, and visual composition
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to review other editors' work and communicate constructive feedback
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Comfortable operating a camera in both solo and team production environments
- Local to the Kenai/Soldotna area or willing to relocate
Preferred
- 3+ years of professional editing or video production experience
- Previous experience supervising, mentoring, or training editors or other creatives
- Experience filming weddings, events, interviews, or commercial projects
- Background in documentary, cinematic, or brand storytelling
- Drone experience and/or FAA Part 107 certification
- Experience working with remote editors or distributed creative teams
- Familiarity with AI-assisted editing and creative tools

We're a team that values creativity, excellence, integrity, growth, and service. We want people who care about their craft, care about the people they're working alongside, and want to become better professionals in the process.
